Great Pizza Doesn’t Have To Be Rectangular

I like pizza. Most people do. I had a friend in elementary that didn’t like it. Rectangular school cafeteria pizza is the thing of memories! I used to give Arturo the Grandma Cookies my mom packed for me in my lunch box in exchange for the pizza he didn’t like. That’s when my bully turned into a best friend.

Nowadays I eat my pizza like most non-chicagoans, pyramid slices.

My favorite pizza joint is a small place in Brownsville called Jersey’s Pizza. It’s not a fancy place. No brick, wood burning oven here. From what I’ve seen, their oven is nothing special. Some might say the pizza is not that special but I fell in love with it immediately after my first bite. Maybe it’s the grease, as you can see in the pic!

A few of us after church a had a fun discussion about greasy foods. The greasier the better was the resounding sentiment!

If you find yourself in Brownsville, or if you just want to try a new pizza spot give Jersey’s Pizza a shot.
