The GoodWill
« on: September 08, 2003, 08:28:24 am »
I found myself at the GoodWill COmputer store yesterday and i piccked up a few audio cables that i forgot to bring up from home, 1 dollar each, and a joystick for the PC.

I am not a gamer but i wanted a joystick for MAME, and after a few calibrations here and there it worked.

I had never added a joystick to a computer before, so i had to use the Win2k Help, and it actually helped!

I had to go to Control Panel, then Gaming Options, and then add the stick, and then calibrate it. Works good with Ms. PacMan and Galaga! Those are the only two games i used it with...hehe..

Thats it, now you are gonna be hooked.  It starts off innocently with MAME, then you find the upgraded versions of the oldies.  Then you see a new game that came out recently kinda like those.  Then you see a whole new game and think "hey i never played something like that, wonder what its like".  Next thing you know you are ordering pizza, have a 75Mhz tan (face and neck only), and only speak to people in chat lingo ie. lol, omg, stfu, wtf and the like!!  AHHHH the insanity!!!    [smiley=bouncy.gif]

thats so sad that i know where that base line is from.

I dont think its starting anything, i been messing with MAME on and off for a few months now and no addictions. When i first got it i put it on the laptop and would play in between clarsees, but thats about it...

i see you found a new smilie, or bouncy.

I heard that you can pick up CC's for like $15 at Goodwill stores. For that matter I heard that they have a standard $15 price on most if not all computers? Did you check out the prices?
