My Old Apartment In Austin, TX
| Courtesty of Google Maps Street View. My place was downstairs to the right of that stair case. The tree is blocking the view. View Larger Map

No More Bush
| No, this is not political blog entry! This is about greenery. There are some bushes on the inside of my yard that I have always thought were ugly. They are up near my neighbors house and even when I use to trim them I always thought they were ugly. Well, they got way out of control so I decided to have them removed completely. Right away the yard feels bigger. So, I like it. Hopefully I can decide what to put in the place of these bushes. Right now all you will see is dirt. See the video below: |

Replacement Stik
| Well wouldn't you know it. Target let me exchange the broken Ripstik for a new one. I didn't think they would because the thing had stickers that said DO NOT RETURN TO THE STORE underneath it. I spoke to Sandra from church, who works at Target, and she said that they would exchange it and sho nuff, they did. All they had was red though. For a few hours I thought about trying to exchange it for a Silver or Blue at another Target, but after lunch I took it out of its box and Ripped around the clinic I work at and then Ripped back around when I got out. So I am happy about that. I was just outside riding before this blog. Labels: ripstik |

No Break
:-( In case you don't know the R.I.P. Stik story read the rest of the blog or click here. |
R.I.P. Stik
| Robert emptied his pool tonight. Getting ready for the Spring I presume. So we thought it would be fun to use the Ripstik in the Pool. Below is the result of that way of thinking. |

Ripstik
| I can't remember when it was, but I know it was one night that a lot of us from Church ended up at Wallbangers. I believe it was the night we found out Juan was Superman. Anyway, after Wallbangers we went over to Academy and that is when I first saw a Casterboard. It was laying in the aisle on its two wheels and then some employee got on and took off. I thought it was so cool. Many Many months later, after Christmas, I saw them again at Academy in Brownsville. Really started wanting one since then. Well, after a gift card, a Target employee discount, and a $2.22 loan I finally got me one. Took me a good while to finally be able to ride and then and even longer time to get the hang of turning. Call it a midlife crisis if you want, but it is a lot fun and I really like it. Below is a small, short video of me and Rob on the Ripstik. And of course, with this type of thing, and with my lack of appropiate balance and skill it is only natural that I take a spill. Here are the results of that spill. Labels: ripstik |

I'm The One
| I really hope Kim don't mind me putting this song up here but it is really beautiful.
I couldn't find much of the lyrics online, but it goes a little something like this: I'm the one He shed His life's blood to save. And I'm the reason He rose, from the grave. I'm the reason for those worn out sandals you see. He walked every mile just for me. |
